BSc(Hons) Chiropractic, Doctor of Chiropractic

Kirsten

I have lived in and around Exeter all my life and have been interested in healthcare from a young age. I graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Chiropractic.

I felt Chiropractic offered me an alternative route from conventional medicine whereby I could help, prevent and relieve peoples’ symptoms without the use of drugs. Drugs can often mask the cause of a problem where Chiropractic aims to treat that cause and prevent it recurring in the future.

In the 15 years since leaving university I firstly worked for a larger clinic in Exeter for about four years, where I developed new skills
and techniques, other than the textbook theories taught at university.

After this time I decided to embark on a new mission; to start my own business, Chiropractic Matters Ltd. We have had several business moves over the past 16 years all within the village and back Jan 2016 we moved into our latest and more permanent home, Priest House.

I have developed new techniques and skills over this time in Chiropractic (NeuroImpulse Protocol, NIP, Pediatrics and further manual skills) and other fields such as acupuncture and physio style training.

Having always been active as a child, much of my spare time is still taken up with staying fit and healthy. I completed the hottest London marathon this year (24*c) in 3hr 17 and currently in training for several half marathons at the end of this year. I also have a passion for gym training where I enjoy weight lifting to keep strong and look good.

I also look after my two young sons, Tom and Zach, and my 7 year daughter Autumn. Juggling clinic, children and training keeps me super busy.

My interest in healthcare and helping others has always been a part of me. I am trustworthy, caring and completely dedicated to my patients. I really enjoy having my business run for a village location. Its very important to me to have a good relationship with all my patients many of which are now true friends!
